So a bunch of the top online affiliate marketers and I were having this debate about the three ways to earn big commission as an affiliate and which way works best with a free sales funnel.
My opinion is, it depends.

1) Direct to Offer ( most free affiliate sales funnel template tricks)
So the obvious way to do affiliate marketing is just to send traffic directly to the offer page. The thought behind this is, if the offer converts, it doesn't make sense to add any extra steps to it. Just let it do what it does.
This does work, if the offer converts. Some things to consider though are:
- The affiliate funnels sales page may make some claims that your traffic source might object to, so sending traffic directly there may not be the best idea. You could lose your FB ad account for instance.
- You have no way of following up with the folks who don't buy on the first visit. No building a list and no way to retarget people landing on a page you don't control.
In my opinion, this strategy works best with a high converting, impulse buy type sales page. Plus, if your goal is just commissions only, this is an option.
2) Presale Page Before Offer template
This is when you send traffic to an affiliate funnels page that has content which warms the visitor up for the offer before they get to it. It can include a review by you or others, a compelling reason why to buy that's not already on the sales page, and even a bonus offer if they buy.
This works extremely well if:
- If you want to run ads and retarget people who land on your presell page for sales funnel.
- If the customer needs some additional factors to make a buying decision that aren't included on the sales page. Such as some reviews or some benefits that aren't properly expressed.
In my opinion, this strategy adds an extra step, but it helps convince buyers to buy before they even get to the offer page. The downside is, it doesn't build a list. However, sometimes you want to promote an offer that you don't really want to build a list for. For example, if you're just trying to earn some quick Christmas commissions promoting a child's toy on Amazon.
3)Free Sales Funnels Template : Squeeze Page Before Offer to Followup Up Via Email
This is one of my favorite ways to promote affiliate offers because I'm a big list building fan. I actually started my business in 2001 doing just this.my free affiliate sales funnel trick.
A squeeze page is just a page that has the sole purpose of having the visitor enter his email so that you can build your list. Once they submit their email, you can redirect them to any page.
For instance, lets say the sales page you want to promote has a sales video on it. You can offer the visitor a video that will help them with XYZ. After they opt-in, you can redirect them automatically to the free affiliate funnel sales page to watch the video and potentially buy the product.
You can also offer a bonus, coupon, or a prize (contest) for the product you're promoting and require them to enter their email or register to receive it.
In my opinion, this strategy works great to build a list and followup with the customers via affiliate funnel email. It gives you multiple chances to promote the product or other products in the future. The only downside is you lose a lot of people who won't opt-in and will not get to see the offer you're promoting. If you have a 30% opt-in rate, you lose 70% of the people. That may not be smart, especially for a product that you do not desire to build a list for your free affiliate sales funnel.
